Ron Graybeal serves as Public Entity Practice Leader at Beecher Carlson's Oregon operation. Ron has 30 years experience in the commercial insurance industry, most of which has been associated with the public sector. Ron specializes in larger, self insured public entities and specializes in alternative risk transfer approaches to risk finance.Ron's work has included traditional primary product offerings as well as excess risk, pooling, risk purchasing group formation, captive insurance carrier creation, and licensed admitted carrier formation.
In 2008, Ron founded "Beecher Carlson Risk University", providing practical risk management training to public sector and was named a national "Power Broker" by Risk and Insurance magazine in 2007. In 1999, Ron founded the Oregon School Safety Association, a federally approved tax exempt organization which exists as a school safety information internet based clearinghouse, and public school safety grant provider.
Ron earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from the University of Washington. He is a Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and earned his Associate in Risk Management (ARM).
Ron is an active member of his community and is a frequent speaker on various insurance and risk management topics.
