Beecher Carlson Participates in Long Island RIMS Panel
On Tuesday, September 26, 2017, Beecher Carlson along with the law firm Satterlee Stephens participated in what can be described as a very lively panel discussion on important issues and trends in Employment Practices Liability hosted by the Long Island RIMS Chapter. The discussion kicked off with Beecher Carson’s Senior Vice President and Head of Executive Liability Claims, Christina Wunsch, offering her perspective on challenges attendant to employment claims and common coverage issues employers should be aware of. Chris Hughes, Managing Director in Beecher Carlson’s Executive Liability Practice, then highlighted historical issues giving rise to Wage and Hour coverage as well as the current state of the markets offering this coverage and underwriting considerations. Following that, Tom Cahill and Jennifer McArdle, Partners at Satterlee Stephens, LLP, talked about important changes in employment laws on the horizon as well as offered practical suggestions on how employers can mitigate these risks. Complementing the very informative points brought up by the panelists were a myriad of thoughtful questions and comments that added further depth to the discussion. Beecher Carlson and Satterlee Stephens thank LI RIMS for providing us with the opportunity to speak at this event.
