Rob Bothwell serves as Executive Managing Director and leads Beecher Carlson’s National Energy Practice. Based in Boston, Rob leverages his 20 years of industry experience and specialized expertise working with independent power developers, utilities and oil and gas companies to develop comprehensive insurance and risk management programs.Working with both domestic and international insurance markets, Rob has successfully implemented insurance programs for IPP projects in several South American and Pacific Rim Countries, as well as multiple US projects. He has guided the risk management and insurance needs for several merchant plants in the United States and has advised several insurance companies regarding the deregulation process.
Prior to joining Beecher Carlson, Rob led the energy practice at William Gallagher Associates. In 1997, he participated in the management buyout of WGA and became one of the Principal Partners. Rob has also served as the Northeast Marketing Manager for the Energy Department of Zurich Insurance and began his insurance career as a Boiler and Machinery underwriter at Chubb Group of Insurance Companies.
Rob is a graduate of Providence College where he earned his Bachelors degree in Political Science and minored in Public Administration.
